Subject: Re: Omega Seamaster Watch Repair

Stephen,

The watch arrived safely and for a 60 year old watch, it looks brand
new!  I appreciate the manner in which you do business.  You emailed me
as soon as you received the watch, you diagnosed the problem in a couple
of days and gave me an estimate of the cost of the essential repairs.
You also suggested some other things that could be done such as
replacing the crystal, the crown and a complete cleaning, but did not
try to "sell me" on those services.

Your promptness, professionalism and honesty were greatly appreciated
and it has been a pleasure doing business with you.  If, in the future,
my watch is again in need of repairs, I will certainly send it to you
for service.

Thanks again for a job well done!

With kindest regards,

Bob Clark

Hello Mr Thomas,

I wanted to let you know I received my Omega watch
back a few days ago. It looks and works great.
I've been tracking its accuracy and estimate it's now
gaining only 1-3 seconds per day. This outcome is
most impressive and beyond my expectations for this
vintage automatic watch (although Omega might disagree
with my previous expectations).
I got my blue-sky wish of a 30+ year-old vintage watch
I can trust will keep accurate time, appealing, with
high sentimental value, and for a reasonable price.
Your communication with me was excellent also. Thanks
much for your help making this a reality.

Warm Regards,

Javier Ruiz

Dear Javier,

Thank you so much for your apology - it is rare that a
customer wouldadmit to making an honest mistake, which
is what this was. And pleasedon't worry - you owe me
nothing. Normally, when a customer must returna watch
to me under warranty, assuming that something has gone
wrongwith my repair, I refund their postage. Since I
did not refund yours,we are even. And your kind
apology is worth much more than the cost ofany
additional diagnosis.

You have been a patient, considerate, and reasonable
customer to workwith, and I would be happy to do any
watch repairs you may send my wayin the future.

Thanks again and best regards,
Stephen Thomas

Hello Mr Thomas,I've got egg on my face, as my
assertion of how thequick date feature worked was
based on how I recalledthe 'parts' watch operated
through self-discovery.I've learned from your
instructions to pull the crownout to third click to
advance date, and repeat foreach desired advance.I
wish to cover your cost of performing thisadditional
diagnosis. Will you please bill the samecard as the
primary repair job for the amount you deemfair?Best

Dear Javier,I am returning your Omega Automatic
watch to you thisafternoon byregistered insured mail.
There isabsolutely nothing wrong with thewatch, and
all of itsnormal functions are intact and in fine
workingorder. This particular watch does not possess a
quick dateset functionthat is activated by turning the
handscounterclockwise, and as far asI can tell, it
neverdid have one. Although this function does
exist,it isactivated by pulling the crown out all the
way to thethirdclick. This will cause the date to
advance by oneday each time it isperformed. Thank
you,Stephen ThomasQuality Watch Repair206 463 9222

Dear Stephen,

I recently found the letter you sent with the watches when they were returned to me. You had asked if I was satisfied with the repairs.

The answer is a resounding yes!

I had sent you two watches. A Seiko quartz that was a long time keepsake and also an Omega Seamaster that had just quit working. That one was extra special since it was a gift form my parents long ago. They are working today as if they were new, out of the box.

The work was done flawlessly, and all the information you showed on your web site was totally accurate and made for a very safe and secure process.

The watches are working wonderfully today and I often think of how lucky I was to find your web site. You are truly a craftsman and someone I would recommend to anyone. Thank you for your fine work and excellent business and personal ethics.
